A suitable substrate that has been mechanically prepared and vacuumed can often take MS 262 directly or via D 3055. Always prepare a calcium sulphate screed mechanically; separate mastic asphalt with PU 280 or MS 330.
D 3055 if needed → MS 262.02
Dry + uneven
Adhesive does not level. D 3003/D 3004 + Z 610 is the route for a suitable mineral substrate, not for every non-absorbent, wooden or asphalt substrate.
primer according to substrate type → Z 610 (at least 2 mm under parquet) → MS 262.03
Residual moisture + flat
Only on a permanently moisture-resistant substrate: an accurate CM % or KRL/CRH measurement of the substrate, the limits in the TDS and the existing structural waterproofing.
PU 280 or MS 330 within the TDS limits → MS 262.04
Residual moisture + uneven
The barrier layer, the bonding bridge and the levelling must form one system; apply D 3045 within the prescribed time window.
PU 280/MS 330 → D 3045 → Z 610 → MS 262.
The full protocol
Every step has proof that you may continue.
01
Define the parquet and the pattern
Record the wood species, the construction, the dimensions, tongue-and-groove or click, the planned pattern and the manufacturer's instructions. Choose the MS 262 application method on that basis; individual beads are not permitted for every format.
checkpointThe chosen adhesive, nozzle/trowel and finish are approved for this parquet.
Store the parquet according to the manufacturer's instructions. The floor temperature should be at least 15 °C and the room at least 18 °C; the target relative humidity is roughly 40–65 %. Underfloor heating must have a completed screed heat-up protocol.
checkpointThe parquet, the substrate and the room are within the permitted climatic range.

03
Measuring and inspecting the substrate
Check the screed type, the CM % or KRL/CRH moisture of the substrate, the flatness, the compressive and tensile strength, cracks and surface contamination. Mechanically remove weak layers, paint, oil, old loose material and dust. Prepare a calcium sulphate screed mechanically and vacuum it thoroughly; always separate mastic asphalt from MS 262 with PU 280 or MS 330.
checkpointThe measurements are recorded, the substrate is sound and free of separating substances.
Repair local damage with the appropriate WAKOL repair compound. Prime an uneven substrate and level it with Z 610; under parquet the layer must be at least 2 mm. Do not sand the compound before bonding unless the TDS states otherwise.
checkpointUnder a 2 m straightedge there are no impermissible deviations; the compound is dry enough for parquet.
Measure the room and draw a reference axis. Lay several rows without adhesive, balance the cuts at the walls and mark the starting line. For herringbone, build an accurate starting triangle or guide.
checkpointThe first row is geometrically proven and the edge cuts are not unacceptably narrow.

06
Applying MS 262
For permitted long elements with the triangular nozzle, apply transverse beads every 8–10 cm. With the multi-nozzle head the ribs run parallel to the laying direction. With a trowel, comb the adhesive fully and evenly. Prepare only as much as you can lay in about 40 minutes.
checkpointThe ribs are even, with no skin, puddles or empty areas.
Place the element into the fresh adhesive immediately, press it down and close the joint with a tapping block. Lift the first elements and check the transfer on the underside. Use spacers and expansion gaps according to the manufacturer's instructions.
checkpointThe underside is properly wetted, the lines stay straight, the visible joints are free of adhesive.
Remove fresh stains immediately with RT 5960, after testing for resistance. Setting takes about 24 h; according to the TDS, unfinished parquet is normally ready for surface treatment after 12 h on an absorbent and 24 h on a non-absorbent substrate. Check stability before walking on it or sanding.
checkpointThe elements do not move when walked on or sanded.
Level the new unfinished parquet using the same controlled sequence as an old floor. After the medium pass, fill the stable gaps with EasyFill/VivaFill and fine dust, then make an even fine pass.
checkpointThe geometry is flat, the gaps are full, the sanding pattern is uniform.
Choose one complete route: EasyPrime + 2K lacquer, 2K Intensive + 2K lacquer, 2K ImpactOil or HardwaxOil. Do not combine random layers. Document the times, quantities and product batches.
checkpointEvery layer is system-compatible and the test area has been approved.
